Anthurium luxurians - M

Anthurium a genus of herbaceous plants in the picture family. It includes about 1000 described species. It is the most numerous group in terms of species in the pictorial family and the most diverse. The range of anthuriums extends from northern Mexico to southern Brazil, northern Argentina and Paraguay.

Anthurium luxurians is a variety with phenomenal, thick and fleshy leaves with a very characteristic fluted structure. The leaves are large, heart-shaped and glossy with an almost metallic appearance.
In adult forms, the leaf can reach a size of up to 1 m in length. Their color varies depending on the stage of growth - from light green to very dark.
Anthurium luxurians produces small flowers that are arranged in a characteristic spiral pattern on a long, thin stem called spadix. The flowers are usually greenish-white in color and are surrounded by a colorful, leaf-like structure.
