Description
Anthurium forgetii 'White Stripes' is an exceptional collector's plant, prized for its dark green, almost velvety leaves decorated with fine white lines along the innervation. This rare variety of anthurium is also distinguished by its heart-shaped, edgeless leaves - unlike many species in the picture family, 'Forgetii' does not have an indentation at the top of the leaves.
The leaves of Anthurium forgetii 'White Stripes' are deep green, and their texture resembles velvet. They have distinct white lines that run along the innervation, giving the plant an elegant appearance. The lack of an indentation in the upper part of the leaves makes them more rounded than in other anthurium species. The flowers of this variety are not its main asset - they appear rarely and are in the form of small flasks.
Anthurium forgetii White Stripes - S planted in a 5.5-6cm pot
More about growing:
Position: bright with diffused light (avoid direct sunlight)
Watering: keep the substrate constantly moist, but do not allow water to pond so that the roots do not rot
Substrate: loose and permeable substrate.
Humidity: They prefer decidedly elevated humidity.
We do not recommend sprinkling the plants, as this can lead to desiccation or fungal disease in a home environment (with low humidity). Getting a humidifier or setting the pot on a saucer with moist expanded clay is a far better choice.
